1. Let's talk about the process of creating music. We want to know about your inspirations. Who are your idols and your heroes? Is there any influence from other musical genres other than the one you produce today?

Well, we have 4 musical heroes who came from Liverpool, England: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they were the idols of Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason and joining all these guys came up the inspiration for Loucurama.

In addition to Rock N' Roll, we venerate the Brazilian music represented by New Baianos, Tim Maia. Caetano Veloso, Luiz Gonzaga and so on...

02. Tell us a little bit about your creative process for writing your music or producing your music. Are your melodies beginning to be created from some instrument, or do you have some other creative method?

The compositions happen while the lyrics are written and the instruments are played, so the theme of the lyrics inspires the band to begin to compose based on the message that we are going to pass.

03. We understand that the music industry nowadays is different from the past. How does the market influence the production of your material today?

The music industry today demands a professional quality material in the musical and commercial aspect, so we always look for the best and we are satisfied with our material, remembering that our budget is very small, after all, we are an independent band.

04. What is the connection between the music you produce and the place where you live? How does the city's music scene contribute to the creative process?

Our music has no influence on the city we live in. We try to talk about the Brazilian reality through the way of poetry and thus we believe that our message can be universal. We create music through the pure feeling of truth that life shows us every day.

05. How did you think about differentiating yourself in a musical style compared to other Brazilian bands? Was it easy to mix international genres with Brazilian music?

Generally, Rock N'Roll does not mix many styles and that's why we have that Loucurama as our name. “Louco” (Crazy) in mixing styles and inspirations. After all, in the same song, you can listen to Rock, Baião and country music. It is super important to show the world that we come from Brazil and our music has a swing that makes everyone want to get up from the chair and vibrate with us. Therefore, it was easy to mix several styles in our Brazilian Rock.

06. Tell a little bit about how other musical styles can influence your work without getting lost or taking a direction you do not want.

The more music you listen to, the more baggage you will have in your life, and as soon as the song starts to be composed your musical range will be open with various influences and always respecting our roots which are Rock N 'Roll.

07. For you, how can we continue to produce and disseminate Brazilian music in what it has best produced? What makes us different?

Brazilian music is so rich because it comes from the mix of various musical tribes and so it produced so much band and talented artist, from bossa nova to samba to rock. What makes us different is the perseverance in always believing that music cures any problem!
